Julio Barbosa is the founder and partner of Barbosa Legal and he is licensed to practice law in the United States and Brazil. Over 30 years ago, Julio began practicing law in Brazil and he has spent most of his career focused on advising international individuals and entities navigate the intricacies of doing business in the United States.
Julio moved to the United States in 1998 and completed an LL.M. in 1999 and a J.D. in 2004 at the University of Miami School of Law. He has published several articles in English and Portuguese and three books in Portuguese, including “How to Export to the United States,” and “The Painful (and Taxing) Realities of Doing Business in Brazil.”
Julio has extensive experience in international taxation and assists clients in a variety of cross-border transactions in Latin America and in the United States.
In addition to his comprehensive legal services in the U.S., Julio is able to provide complete legal assistance to clients throughout Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, and Colombia.
Julio has been featured as a key speaker in over a dozen countries throughout the Americas to discuss international trade, international taxation, arbitration, establishing entities and doing business in the United States.
