Marielys is an international tax attorney and CPA with more than a decade of experience in both law firms and accounting firms, providing tax planning and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs and growing companies and inbound multi-national families with operations in the U.S. and abroad. Her experience focuses on international tax compliance and consulting for individuals, corporations, partnerships and trusts, pre-immigration planning, U.S. real property interests and U.S. tax compliance and reporting for foreign trusts and U.S. beneficiaries.

Marielys is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Florida and Puerto Rico. She is also licensed to practice law in Florida, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, and in the U.S. Tax Court. Marielys earned both her Juris Doctor and her Master of Law in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law, and her bachelor’s in business administration, with a concentration in accounting, from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras.

Marielys is a member of the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colegio de Contadores Publicos Autorizados de Puerto Rico.
