BVI Business Companies: New Fees Starting January 1, 2018

The Government of the BVI passed an amendment to the BVI Business Companies Act in December 2016 that will take effect January 1, 2018, increasing among others things, filing fees and fees for issue of certificates.

A notable change for instance is the registrar’s annual renewal fee for a standard company authorized to issue 50,000 shares: it will increase from $350 to $450. Additionally, the cost to file changes of registered agent and registered office have increased from $50 to $100.
